PEAK VOICES CHOIR

Welcome to Peak Voices Choir - a fun and uplifting choir for adults of all abilities. We believe everyone deserves the joy of singing, which is why there's no audition process and no pressure - just a warm, supportive space to connect, build confidence and make music together. Whether you're a seasoned singer or completely new to choir, you'll always find a place to belong at Peak Voices. 

We rehearse every Monday evening 7pm-9pm at the United Reformed Church, Hardwick Square, Buxton. Why not pop along and see us - you're first taster session is completely free! Then, if you decide you would like to join the choir, we take payments in blocks of 5 sessions (£30 per block of 5 - equivalent to £6 per week). We also offer a pay as you go option at £9 per week for those that can't commit to a full series (block of 5) of rehearsals.

In the short space of time we have been performing as a choir, we have already had some really fun performances within our local community. In May we performed at the Tideswell Food Festival and also at the Buxton Spring Fair. We will also be performing at Chapel Carnival too. Our Summer season will end with a bang as we perform a wonderful show to mark the end of Buxton Fringe Festival at the Palace Hotel. 'Curtain Up!' will be a selection of great songs that everyone knows. We will also be joined by West End and The Voice star, Matthew Croke and the event will be hosted by Edwina Currie. 

Our sopranos were thrilled to be asked by the production team of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat to take part in this musical at the prestigious Buxton Opera House. It was great fun for them to work with a professional creative team on this spectacular show providing top notch vocal support both onstage...   

...and behind the scenes - sometimes it's not all glamour! But what an experience! Peak Voices has many other things in the pipeline which will involve playing to bigger audiences, like at the Buxton Opera House. We're really excited to share these things with you when we're able to! 

At every rehearsal, we always have a break for tea, coffee and biscuits. It's a great chance for everyone to get to know each other from the different vocal sections. We also organise social outings for the choir members, their family and friends where everyone can get to know each other outside of the rehearsals.
